Palm stones are very similar to Worry Stones but do not have the carved indention for the thumb. They are very smooth and easily fit into the palm of the hand, but are used exactly like worry stones. Worry stones are known as 'pocket tranquilizers.' Rubbing the smooth surface of the stone puts pressure on nerves within the thumb that may release endorphins, the brain's natural relaxants.
