The Pause Before the Pivot
This is my extremely overachieving way of taking a podcast break: giving you a podcast episode about it.
I know. Very on brand.
What's Actually Going On
Over the last couple of weeks, doors have been flying open for me. Opportunities I am not ready to talk about yet because they are not fully solidified, but they are real, and they are significant, and they have my full attention. At the same time, July is one of our biggest months at Inked Goddess Creations. Witchy Advent pre-orders, our Yuletide in July clearance sale, full-force preparation for the Witches' Bazaar. It is a lot, all at once, arriving right on top of each other.
And my default is to push. To grab every puzzle piece and force the picture together as fast as possible so I can see what I am supposed to do next and start doing it immediately. That is how I am wired.
But everything around me right now is telling me to stop. My dreams. The podcasts I have been listening to. The classes I am taking. The symbolism that keeps showing up. And then the cards in this week's Patreon prophecy portal reading, which were the final confirmation I needed: you are in a liminal space, Morgan. Sit in it. Because if you push forward right now, you are going to miss which path is actually meant for you.
So that is what I am doing this week. Sitting. Listening. Letting the puzzle show me its picture instead of trying to force it into one.
What I Am Leaving You With
I am not going anywhere empty-handed, and neither are you.
A few things I genuinely recommend right now:
If you need something for your mind, Megan Winkler's podcast Glow Up Revolution has had some really hard-hitting episodes on burnout lately. Ashlina Kaposta's podcast Feminine and Ambitious has two recent episodes I loved: her sacred summer reset and ten shifts for manifestation. Both are worth your time.
Also, and this one made me tear up a little on the recording: my episode on Rachel Patterson's Pagan Portal podcast, which aired back in February, is a tiny clue to something that is unfolding for me right now. We talked about tattoos, we talked about Avalon, and if you go listen to it you will understand why I got emotional just referencing it. I will link it in the show notes.
And if you are in summer loafing mode, here is what I have been watching. Voicemails for Isabelle on Netflix is one of the best movies I have seen all year. It will make you cry and laugh, and Nick Offerman is an unhinged delight. Sweet Magnolias is my comfort show, cheesy but with real heart. And if you have Apple TV, Widow's Bay is a 30-minute episode comedy-horror show that I looked forward to every single Wednesday, and now all episodes are out, so you can binge it guilt-free.
A Resource Reminder
If you are new here or have not explored the website lately, we added a free resources section to the top menu at InkedGoddessCreations.com. You will find links to the blog, which is updated every week with podcast episodes in blog post format just like this one, the podcast page, YouTube, and Pinterest, where I work hard on infographics and witchy content you can actually save and use.
Summer is a slower season for many people. Your kids are out of school, gas is expensive, vacations are happening. I get it. But the free resources are always there whenever you want them.
The Bottom Line
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop moving long enough to hear what comes next. I have spent years defaulting to push, push, push. This week I am choosing to pause. Not because I am burnt out, not because I am giving up, but because something big is coming and I want to be still enough to see it clearly when it arrives.
I will be back next week. I promise. And when the puzzle shows me its picture, you will be the first to know.
This post is pulled from Episode 228 of Busy, Gritty, Inked, and Witchy. Watch or listen to the full episode below. New episodes drop every Wednesday.
