Can you feel the energy shifting this month? July will be a profoundly different month, one most of us have never experienced before. The Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th is just part of the cosmic shifts occurring. Let’s dive in!
To set the stage, let’s just say that the vibes for July are earth-shifting. That’s because Uranus is entering Gemini for the first time since 1942. Uranus is the planet of revolution, awakening, and disruption. As a refresher, in 1942, we were in World War II, experiencing large technological leaps, and propaganda (aka misinformation) was at an all-time high. Uranus will remain in Gemini from July 7 to November 7, so this is a pivotal summer in our collective human experience.
Just days into this placement, we will be experiencing the Full Moon in Capricorn. This Full Moon follows our powerful New Moon in Cancer and is a great time to double down on the intentions you set. Yes, the intentions and spells you cast at the New Moon will reverberate and grow over the next six to 12 months, but these first two weeks are a potent time for adding a boost to them.
The Cancer-Capricorn axis is a pairing between the desire for a safe place to land where our emotions are honored and heard (Cancer) and our outward, public life and career (Capricorn). We have the desire for love, attachment, and acceptance of Cancer dancing with the desire for rewards and recognition for the hard work of Capricorn.
With that in mind, the nice thing about the Full Moon in Capricorn happening when it does is that Capricorn is a grounded, steady earth sign that will help keep you on the right path.
This Full Moon is special because it also falls in the mid-point of the year and is a great bookmark in your calendar for reassessing where you were six months ago. How have you changed? What has remained constant? How have you shown up for yourself and your goals?
We also have some significant retrogrades to deal with during this time, so use the Full Moon to root into your values and who you truly are. Journal about it. Leave sticky notes on your mirror to remind you of your desires and intentions. Take this time to really ground and center yourself in your inner truth.
So, what about those retrogrades? Neptune goes retrograde on July 4th in Aries, and Saturn also goes retrograde in Aries on July 13th. Aries is a fiery sign that rules courage and identity, and when planets are retrograde in this sign, they become stripped down and force us to confront our inner truths. Who are we without all the distractions around us? When we get down to the soul of who we are, what’s there?
Oh, and Mercury goes retrograde on July 18th in Leo. Seriously, your Full Moon ritual this month should include a lot of grounding!

Cancer: It’s time to look at the partnerships in your life, especially the ones you’ve created over the past six months. Are you showing up for the other person, and are you honoring your boundaries? Use this Full Moon as a check-in on friendships, work partnerships, and romantic relationships alike.
