Full Moon in Aquarius- July 23, 2021

Full Moon in Aquarius- July 23, 2021

July 23 is the first of two Full Moons in Aquarius. Leo season began on July 22 and lasts until August 23. The themes of the next month will be related to both air sign Aquarius and fire sign Leo's polar relationship. The symbol of Aquarius is the water-bearer, who holds the collective consciousness of all beings and continuously gathers and pours the waters of our thinking as a way to grow our understanding of the world. Full Moons are emotional because they heighten your senses, which allows for deep reflection and processing of past events, followed by the fruition of your efforts and newly found determination. Humanitarian Aquarius encourages you to turn away from selfishness and focus on making the world, or at the least your immediate environment, a better place for everyone.

With the Sun in energetic and passionate Leo, your actions and personality may be expressed in a way that catches other's attention. The Sun represents self-ego and strong individuality. The positive side of Leo is creative self-expression, generosity and leadership, while the shadow side contains stubbornness, greed, and jealousy. Under this Full Moon you are being asked to realize that looking beyond your personal experiences and into the needs of others can help you feel more connected to your community. The self-empowerment and confidence you will receive from the Sun in Leo can give you the courage to stand up for what is important to not just yourself, but for those who may not be in a position of power.

The Aquarius Full Moon is in quincunx to planet Venus. Moon quincunx Venus transit often highlights the desire for love and affection from both partners in a relationship. Venus also deals with finances and career, so this applies to work relationships as well. This could lead to a critical point where a change is needed in order to restore a healthy balance. The issues that arise will be linked to karmic lessons that can be healed and resolved so that you can unload burdensome feelings or situations. Avoid taking on too many responsibilities at once, especially since the themes of this Full Moon will be prominent until the second Aquarius Full Moon in August. To some, the July Full Moon is known as the Thunder Full Moon because summer is in thunderstorm season. The Farmers Almanac also refers to it as the Buck Moon, since July is the time for buck deer to begin growing out their full antlers. This is a phase when your emotions and ambitions are intensely charged. Connect with the Full Moon in Aquarius by rewriting your goals to match the qualities of your higher self, doing something that reminds you of what you love about yourself, or participating in a cause with people who share in your kind-heartedness and sincerity.
