New Moon in Libra- October 8, 2018
On Monday, October 8th, Libra New Moon shows us how to create balance in our lives through love, beauty, justice, and relationships. Libras are great at socializing and communicating, so this energy helps deepen our connections with old or new friends. This new moon brings the opportunity to find ways to maintain healthy relationships. Speaking of relationships- Venus, planet of love and the ruling planet of Libra, is in retrograde (moving backwards) in Scorpio right now. Scorpio deals with desire for love, power, and spirituality, so Venus in retrograde in Scorpio could make it more difficult to create harmony with others. By focusing on our personal values and staying true to ourselves, we can establish more peace in our day-to-day lives!
One of Libra's tendencies is to become indecisive. Like Libra's symbol, the scales, it represents our mind on one side and our heart on the other. It is important that we do not make decisions solely based on our thoughts or our feelings, at least during this Libra New Moon. If you feel unsure about something, take some time to be alone and listen to your intuition before making any rash choices. Deep conversations with people are likely to come up and bring opportunities to let go of any unresolved feelings that could be holding you back. New moons are a time of new beginnings, so allow yourself the chance to leave the past behind and move forward.
If you've been feeling stuck in a routine, try something new! Libra's creativity gifts us inspiration to redecorate our home, play or listen to music, or improve upon our current health and beauty routines. It can be difficult to break old habits, but by letting go of patterns we give ourselves room to change for the better! Relationships are important, but especially the relationship we have with ourselves. Prioritizing the needs of our mind, body, and souls helps us to find real and lasting peace in our lives. Wishing you a lovely new moon in Libra.
