New Moon in Cancer- July 9, 2021

The New Moon in water sign Cancer offers a welcome change from the intensity brought by the previous eclipse energy we have been working with. The Sun is also in Cancer, making this an especially powerful time for love, nurturance, and emotional awareness. Cancer is represented by the crab, which protects itself with its hard, protective shell. In order to feel safe and at home within yourself, you need to build strong personal boundaries.

There could be some difficulties or challenges that arise due to planet Venus aspecting Mars, Saturn, and Uranus. Venus conjunct Mars can cause the urge to embark on a new relationship or creative project. Saturn and Uranus can bring unexpected restrictions. The Moon in Cancer does form a friendly sextile to Uranus which makes you more willing to try something new. Getting out of your comfort zone can reward you with unusual yet pleasant surprises!

As you turn to look within under the dark night skies, you can begin to feel more in touch with the true underlying emotions of yourself and others. Compassion will go a long way in understanding people's motives, which will make it easier to make healthy compromises. This New Moon can be used to see which areas of your life need a clean slate. Maybe there is a hidden interest that deserves more of your attention and possibly has great potential to attract enriching experiences or connections. Cancer rules the home and family, so you may spend more time tending to your private life. Connect with this energy by making your living space more comfortable, so that there is a safe space to heal and become in tune with your deeper self.
